The wait is over. Last week I wrote that Tech Connect was just around the corner, and now here I am at Nutanix HQ.
Before the serious work started, a couple of us NTCs made good use of the time to explore the Valley. We stopped by the Apple Visitor Center and spent time at the Computer History Museum. Walking past decades of computing history is a great reminder of how fast our industry moves, and a fitting warm-up for two days about Kubernetes, AI and agents.
I have a cup of tea in my hand, and in a few moments the conference kicks off.
Walking in this morning felt a bit like coming home: lots of familiar faces from the NTC community, and the buzz of a room full of people who really enjoy talking tech.
Day 1 – all about NKP
The first day is dedicated to the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform:
- Why NKP is the best platform to run your AI workloads. A strong claim to open with. I’m curious about the arguments.
- NKP: What’s new & what’s coming. A look at the latest features and the road ahead.
- Day 2 Security at Fleet Scale with NKP Insights. Keeping many clusters secure and healthy once they’re in production. That’s where the real work starts.
- NKP deployment topologies and resilience best practices. Practical guidance on designing NKP environments that keep running. This is exactly the kind of question I get from customers.
Day 2 – AI, inference and agents
Tomorrow the spotlight moves to AI:
- Service Strategy & Enablement. How Nutanix is improving the product and customer experience.
- A general AI solution/product and vision update. The bigger picture of where Nutanix is heading with AI.
- NAI / Inference. A product update, the vision, and a demo. Seeing it live always says more than slides.
- Agent Gateway. A product update and roadmap. Agents are everywhere right now, and I want to understand where Nutanix sees them fitting in the enterprise stack.
Two packed days, with room for questions and discussion in the lightning talks and open Q&A slots. Then there’s the reception and dinner tonight, where the best conversations usually happen.
Time to grab a seat. I’ll keep you posted on what I can share.
